A HELL engraving stylus, also called HELL diamond stylus, is a precision tool used in the rotogravure printing process for the rotogravure industry. It is a small, pointed tip made of diamond, which is renowned for its hardness and durability.

HELL Engraving stylus with wing is suitable for 4KHZ frequency electronic engraving machine, just like: HELL-304, MDC, DYM, Apollo and some other Gravure machines.

When you install the electronic engraving stylus, please don't touch the diamond cutting edge directly with your hands or other objects. If you need to wipe stylus, please use isopropyl alcohol, acetone & a lint free cloth or an elder pith. If you need more aggressive cleaning in order to remove a particular contaminant, please contact us.
Broken Engraving Stylus
The engraving stylus may break for various reasons.
1.The cutting diamond hits hard particles in the copper or the cylinder grinding residue (abrasive grit) or porous points (cavities) in the copper, such as coarse copper structure.
2. Attempts to clean the Engraving stylus with a brush or fingers. Diamonds are generally known for their hardness and strength, but even slight contact can result in damage and destruction and render the stylus unusable.
3.Attempts to clean with compressed air are just as dangerous for the stylus. If a particle of abrasive grit or dust strikes the cutting edge of the stylus at great speed, it will destroy the cutting edge. Furthermore, it is also possible that a blast of compressed air could blow copper burr into the bearings of the engraving system which would then have a detrimental effect on the stylus damping.
